These are some old entries which was not blog since the day of the foto taken. Lately there are some new food eateries open near our home area, good for us!! So that we can eat and eat and eat!!! Haha, it's a blessing to be able to eat isn't? But of course,Self-control is necessary =) Both Dearie & myself love to go around places to try out food & here are some pictures taken @ XIN WANG HK Cafe:

And here, bring dearie to try Ajisen Ramen which he never tried them before. Price was reasonable but not as nice as original cooked by the Japanese as their's are more oily version in compare to original Japanese style, healthier type. Picture taken below:

A Date with Nicole

After today's Company BE Training session @ Alexandra Building, head to meet up with JiaHui aka Nicole. It's our first single date wor..hehe. Meet up @ Vivo City & head for our dinner @ Asian Kitchen & we simply had lots to chat..chat & eat till the time was about 9pm le..then settled our bill & off to Daiso to grab some stuff & lastly, what did we do??

Off to take flight to states for our coffee session :p

Finally had our coffee session as we mentioned it each time during our meet up session but never happen. This round we achieved our target, great isn't JiaHui?

JiaHui,I hoped you are feeling better after a pouring out & I hope you will have a solution soon =) Cheer up, tomrw gonna be a better day!! Look at brighter side although I know it's tough but don't give up.
We had a fruitful time together today, let's hope for more of such opportunity.

Home-made Japanese Beef Steak

Had a fruitful saturday spend with my dearie!
Off for a jog along my home area and then to our lunch & back home.
Prepared to marinate the beef steak purchased from Meidi-ya last night. Gonna cook it for dinner...was so worried that my mission may fail as its the very first time I prepared steak at home. Had no idea how am I gonna do it but somehow, Thank the Lord for blessing my pairs of hands that enable to be successful in my Culinary most of the times =) It was all Dearie craving & idea to prepared beef steak for dinner, so all I grabbed was 2 piece of sirlion steak, bottle of sauce for marination, Japanese Sisitou, Baby carrots & yellow onion. I was so glad that I've made it successfully & both of us enjoyed our dinner @ home with glass of red wine =)

And prior to that, made oishii kohi via my new coffee machine for tea break and goes with slice of walnut cake. Yums yums..enjoyed them while doing my revision study =)

Fabulous Friday with 沖縄料理

First half of my day @ work was @ The BE Event with the games & the food & back to work for the second half after having sinful buffet lunch provided with Cereal prawns, fried rice, fried beehoon, curry chicken, beef rendang, vegetables & others. Some pictures taken:

It is a great weekend to look forward to as I have a date with my dearie for dinner. Dearie waited for me at my office lobby & we walk towards Liang Court to have a lovely Okinawa Japanese Food. It's my All Time favourite, while on our way there, bumped into my ex.collagues, Jean, Rajnish, Glenise & etc along Boat Quay. Chatted with them for awhile & weather was so hot that we were sweating away. Been telling Dearie wanted him to try this Fabulous Okinawa Food recommended by Iku-chan & finally brought him here le =)
Both of us enjoyed a great dinner @ Nirai Kanai located at basement of Liang Court & of course each other company too. Kudos to 美味しい沖縄料理!!!

I love my new Sony DSC camera as it helps me to take nicer pictures. From the above picture, I can set it to from left picture to made them into right hand picture. SO much nicer!! Thank the Lord for provision.

The Food we had:
1. Umi Budou - Green Cavier seaweed with ponzu.
2. Goya Champu - Bitter Gourd with tofu, pork & egg
3. Raftei - Okinawan famous stewed pork belly [DOES NOT TASTE OILY AT ALL!! SO DIFF FROM LOCAL STYLE. OISHII]
4. Aosa Tempura - Seaweed tempura
5. Somin Tashiyar - Braised somen noodle with spring onion

All of the above was really so yummy & felt healthy after consumed too. Did you know that Okinawa people live the longest among the Japanese? It's all because of the food they consumed & the way they eat them. It's Awesome!!! Do give it a try one of these days ya!! I would love to visit Okinawa one fine day too!!

Dinner @ Ajisen

It's been sometime we last met up and finally managed to meet up with these lovely ladies, YuHui, JiaHui, YiLing & YiPing and special guest Yvonne who is both YiPing & YiLing sister as we intend to give YiLing a Belated Birthday surprise!

As usual, had a great catch up with fun chatting catching up as well as the food. We wanted to have Ichiban Sushi for dinner but later did we found out that they were closed for renovation hence we got to resort in having Ajisen instead. Thank God the food was still acceptable =) Pictures taken for the day:-

At the same time passed them those souviners I got for them in my Japan Trip. Our next meet up intend to be a POT LUCK session & all of us r so looking forward =)

晩ご飯誕生日お祝い

Finally managed to meet up with my dear friend Iku-chan. It was our first meet up for the year 2009 as both of us had been busy and ever since she started working, she does not have much time to meet up =( However we will try our best to keep in touch constantly. Today was her birthday hence decided to celebrate for her yesterday for a Japanese dinner after work. We went to Irodori Japanese Restaurant which was recommended by my friend Jocelyn and it's located at Riverview Hotel along Havelock Road, decided to bring Iku-chan to give it a try. Both of us find that overall the food was so so and the table is too narrow and small, u can hardly place lots of plates which I find they should improve in that moreover it's a Buffet Japanese style where plates tends to stack up. But well, at least we give it a shot. I will grade it abt 3/5, room for improvement.

Before Iku-chan meet up after work, her colleagues had already celebrated for her and so nice of them to have bought her a nice bouq of flowers, lovely cakes from The Patisser and bottle of champagne. And becoz of the cakes she had, she had little space left in her stomach for dinner. We had more of sashimi, dobinmushi, their complimentary teppanyaki prawns, cold tomatoes, tofu salad, little teppanyaki fried rice, teppanyaki mushroom butayaki, grilled eggplant & etc and of course some hot sake to go along with. But throughout the dinner, we enjoy chatting up catching up with one another since it's been such long time we last meet up. Our plan for next meet up will be together with both of husband to have Monjayaki, looking forward!!

Returned from Japan for a week le and still missing Japan. It's always an enjoyable trip each year and this round was a trip which we feel more people touch in Japan. Thank the Lord for the helpfulness, friendliness & also their "they care" attitude which we felt that Singaporeans should learn to be like them. It's simple lot of things we like in Japan..the food, the weather, the nice people we met and more.
