It was a Birthday celebration for my dear friend, Yvonne who is Yiping & Yiling younger sister. She had now turned 21 years old this year, finally an adult age now. 楽しい時。。。。

2月24日で、仕事の後、優子さんに会って、一緒にバディマッサージの場所へ行った。

バディマッサージをした後、いい気持でした~楽しいです！
この感じ、私は忙しい仕事が忘れてくつろぐことができるです。それはいいでしう。
その後、晩ご飯を食べた、日式西洋食の食べ物です。

このレストラン始めて食べた時は、名古屋で食べたです。

全部食べてしまいました、料理は美味しいかたです。

帰る時、ショッピングモールで、トナリノトトロのめいちゃんが見附た。
楽しいです、めいちゃんが好きですから。
めいちゃん可愛いですうね。

時々、仕事の後、旦那さんと一緒にレストランで、日本料理を食べます。

美味しい日本料理を食べる時、楽しい感情と思います。私のブログを読んでいる人もこの感情ですか？

私達本当に日本料理が好きですよ。

シンガポール動物園ランニングエベント

2月12日は動物園レースのイベントです。
[12th February was a Zoo Race Event.]

皆と一緒に動物園とナイトサファリで走ました、面白かたですよ。
[Everyone ran together in the race along Zoo & Night Safari, it was interesting.]

その時、新しい友達も知り合たです、大学生です、ゆうこちゃん、ゆきこちゃんとまりちゃんの友達です。私達一緒に走ました、楽しかたです。

[At that moment, I met some new friends too who were also university students & they were friends of Yuuko chan, Yukiko chan & Mari chan. And together we ran the race together, fun indeed!]

Chinese New Year Competition in Office

2月11日、チャイニーズニューイヤーのお祝いので、会社で面白い団体戦が有るんです。
[11 February, because of Chinese New Year Celebration, we had a team competition in the office.]

九日のチャイニーズニューイヤー時、シンガポールで皆一緒にLo Hei を食べま , 習いです。
[In Singapore, It's the practice that on 9th day of Chinese New Year to eat this dish called "Lo Hei".]

" Lohei" は色々野菜と刺身サラダです、皆と一緒にき混ぜる後、食べます。
[Lohei is a dish with plenty kind of raw vegatables & raw fish, it is eaten together after been mixed.]

"Lo Hei" 食べるの意味のは下を読んでください、英語で書きました:-

[Symbolic reason for eating "Lo Hei" are written below, please read along, they were written in English.]

This dish is a must-eat during the Chinese New Year period which is also called "yu sheng" (raw fish salad). "Yu" means "abundance" while "sheng" means "life", and together they signify the wish for "an abundance of wealth and long life". The Cantonese also call the dish lo hei,which means a tossing up of "an abundance of life and wealth." That is why the tossing of the yu sheng is such an important ritual amongst family, friends and business people, as the tossing action symbolises the unearthing of good fortune.

私のチームは果物で、 "Lo Hei" を作るです, 美味しい方ですよ。
[Our group came up with the idea of fruits "Lo Hei' instead of vegetables & raw fish.]

本当に特殊なんです、皆一緒に作ったんです。
[It was indeed unique & delicious, everyone helped to make it for our competition.

Ingredients of our "Lo Hei" ["Lo Hei"の材料は]were mainly fresh fruits namely Guava [グアバ]as Rabbit[兎], Carrots [人参]as base [花野], Japanese cucumber[黄瓜] as grass[花野], Strawberries[苺]as flowers on grass[花野], Pomegranate[石榴]as Rabbit eyes [兎の眼] and toppings, Granolas cranberries almond slice as grass bottom toppings, Pineapples[パイナップル], Pomelos[文旦], Grapes [葡萄], Mangos[芒果], Raisins, Mandarin oranges[オレンジ], cornflakes, Rock melons[メロン], Orange peels as side toppings & lastly my handmade Lemonade sugar syrup as sauce. Fruity Lo Hei to wish everyone a fruitful year ahead!

Beautiful CNY Decoration @ AMK Hub

Visited my relatives @ Hougang during CNY & had some yummy food that she cooked such as Fried Bee Hoon, Curry Chicken & Steamed Fish, they were simple dishes but nice & delicious :-

After home visiting, we took a bus to AMK & happen to come across nice CNY decoration @ AMK Hub & we took some pictures of it, check this out:-

They were so adorable isn't? Perhaps the winning zone for CNY decoration =)

Yumiko san & Family Visit to Singapore [Day 3]

２月三日、五人と一緒にラウパァサア祝いマーケッ[Lau Pa Sat Festive Market] 行きました。
[Together, 5 of us went to Lau Pa Sat Festive Market on 3rd February 2011.]

ホテルからバスで行きました、あゆみちゃんは初めてシンガポールでバスへ乗りました、多分楽しいですね。
[We took a bus from the hotel to the venue, and it was Ayumi chan first time riding on a bus in Singapore, I guess she must be happy.]

この場所は外国人が多いですよ、食べ物は美味しいし、安いし、外国人の好い場所だと思います。
[There are full of foreisgners in this place, for the reason that the food is delicious and cheap I guess.]

サアテは美味しい方です、皆すきなんですよ。
[The Satay were delicious, everyone seems to like it.]

Chinese New Year Eve & Yumiko san & Family Visit in Singapore [Day 2]

It was half day @ work due to Chinese New Year Eve which usually it is a practice to have reunion dinner on Eve of Chinese New Year. Right after work, met up with my Hubby and head down to meet up with Yumiko san & Family @ Oriental Hotel as they were having high tea in the hotel. I came to collect back my camera which I left it in the hotel last night & also to pass Yumiko san things that I bought for them, at the same time, I made a new friend who is Yumiko's friend in Singapore, her name is Azrina. We had a group photo taken together:-

It was a nice meet up with all of them. After departing with them, we head down to my husband parents house to have reunion dinner together. And below were some of the dishes eaten during Chinese New Year with significant meaning on 2 of the dish. The one with pineapple which is "汪来" meaning more luck, and the greenish color dish which is leek and "算" in chinese, they believe that by eating it, you will have countless money.

Dishes were delicious! And's wishing everyone Happy Chinese New Year too! 恭喜发财!

Yumiko san & Family Visit to Singapore [Day 1 Part II]

シンガポールの最初の夜はマーライオン公園へ行きました。
[In the evening of their first day in Singapore, We went to Merlion Park ]

あゆみちゃんはマーライオンを見たいですから。
[As Ayumi chan wants to take a look @ Merlion & ]

偶然その時に、花火を見また、楽しかたです。
[By chance, we managed to watch fireworks & it was awesome.]

チャイニーズニューイヤーの事ですから、花火が見られるんです。いいですね。
[The fireworks was due to the celebration of Chinese New Year.]

Yumiko san & Family Visit to Singapore [Day 1]

由美子さんとまっさきさん、またシンガポールに来る~ようこそ！
[Welcome back to Singapore! Yumiko san & Massaki San.]

今度娘さん,あゆみちゃんも一緒にシンガポールに来る、よかたです~初めてので~ようこそ！
[This time, her daughter, Ayumi chan came together with them. It's great! And being her first visit to Singapore~Welcome!]

旅行は二月一日から、四日までです。
[They are here for a holiday from 1 to 4 February 2011.]

[Above Dish] 鱼生 "Yu Sheng" (raw fish salad) is a must-eat dish during Chinese New Year period. "Yu" means abundance while "sheng" means life, and together they signify the wish for "an abundance of wealth and long life". The cantonese also call the dish "lo hei" which means "tossing up" and when one says "lo hei yu sheng", it means a tossing up of "an abundance of life & wealth."

CNY dishes served @ Soup Restaurant which includes "Fa Cai Yu Sheng".
