晩ご飯誕生日お祝い

4:59 PM Finally managed to meet up with my dear friend Iku-chan. It was our first meet up for the year 2009 as both of us had been busy and ever since she started working, she does not have much time to meet up =( However we will try our best to keep in touch constantly. Today was her birthday hence decided to celebrate for her yesterday for a Japanese dinner after work. We went to Irodori Japanese Restaurant which was recommended by my friend Jocelyn and it's located at Riverview Hotel along Havelock Road, decided to bring Iku-chan to give it a try. Both of us find that overall the food was so so and the table is too narrow and small, u can hardly place lots of plates which I find they should improve in that moreover it's a Buffet Japanese style where plates tends to stack up. But well, at least we give it a shot. I will grade it abt 3/5, room for improvement. Before Iku-chan meet up after work, her colleagues had already celebrated for her and so nice of them to have bought her a nice bouq of flowers, lovely cakes from The Patisser and bottle of champagne. And becoz of the cakes she had, she had little space left in her stomach for dinner. We had more of sashimi, dobinmushi, their complimentary teppanyaki prawns, cold tomatoes, tofu salad, little teppanyaki fried rice, teppanyaki mushroom butayaki, grilled eggplant & etc and of course some hot sake to go along with. But throughout the dinner, we enjoy chatting up catching up with one another since it's been such long time we last meet up. Our plan for next meet up will be together with both of husband to have Monjayaki, looking forward!!
