Today is the day Hubby first meet up with my dear friends, Yokomichi family.
Was glad that he managed to come along with me for dinner together with Hiroshi, Yuko san & her husband. It was indeed a good session chatting in the restaurant, best of all we enjoyed one another company, simply have so much to talk about that we did not notice that time just passed on. Most of our time spend in the restaurant was talking rather than eating, I know it's such a waste but we just couldn't help it. We barely eat the food, words to be said are countless for the day. And I can see that my Hubby had enjoyed himself talking to Hiroshi, communicating in English, and it was a good practice for Hiroshi too. But Hubby won't get to see Hiroshi again until either Hiroshi come to Singapore again or when we happen to visit Japan during our vacation. Below are some pictures taken on the day:

Dinner Venue: Triple 3 Meritus Mandarin Hotel
Rating of the food: 60% out of 100%
Service level: Poor
Buffet Price/person: S$86++ Dinner & Lunch @ S$76 ++

As a high end hotel, it is really so disappointing to see that their service was not up to the standard that it was suppose to be. To me, to enjoy good food, good service is not to be miss & for a customer to return to the restaurant again, it very much plays apart with your service atitude level to your guest so I strongly comment that they should do something to improve their service level, otherwise they can never obtain good comment about their restaurant & hotel giving bad reputation instead. It's really bad to have foreigners seeing such ugly service in a hotel restaurant too. Actions by them such as:-

(1) Dishes were clear without asking the guest if you still want the food.
(2) When food on the dishes were finished, it wasn't clear.
(3) Water was not refilled as it suppose to be.
(4) Staff did not pay attention to guest raising up hands for some request.
(5) Staff gave unhappy look when request to help us to snap a picture.
(6) Took a long time to have the bill given to us.

Moreover, given the price paid, we would have expect a better service given. Really sorry that I have to comment that but to see it that it is for the improvement of the restaurant & hotel.
That will be all for the comment about restaurant & hotel.

Overall, We are just glad that the meet up turns up fine & enjoyable. We look forward to see all of them again but sad to say that Hiroshi is returning back to Japan this coming Tuesday 31 Aug 2010 since his summer vacation is over & he has to return to school.

Although Hiroshi will be back to Japan, I do still look forward to continue to keep in touch with him & of course meeting up with Yuko san & her husband too. Would hope that I can provide more insights about Singapore to them by bringing them to nice eating places, unique places of Singapore & etc.
