Chinese New Year Competition in Office

11:13 PM 2月11日、 チャイニーズ ニューイヤーのお祝いので、 会社で面白い 団体戦が有るんです。 [11 February, because of Chinese New Year Celebration, we had a team competition in the office.] 九日のチャイニーズ ニューイヤー時、 シンガポールで皆一緒にLo Hei を食べま , 習いです。 [In Singapore, It's the practice that on 9th day of Chinese New Year to eat this dish called "Lo Hei".] " Lohei" は 色々野菜と刺身サラダ です、皆と一緒にき混ぜる後、 食べます。 [Lohei is a dish with plenty kind of raw vegatables & raw fish, it is eaten together after been mixed.] "Lo Hei" 食べるの意味のは下を読んでください、 英語で書きました:- [Symbolic reason for eating "Lo Hei" are written below, please read along, they were written in English.] This dish is a must-eat during the Chinese New Year period which is also called "yu sheng" (raw fish salad). "Yu" means "abundance" while "sheng" means "life", and together they signify the wish for "an abundance of wealth and long life". The Cantonese also call the dish lo hei,which means a tossing up of "an abundance of life and wealth." That is why the tossing of the yu sheng is such an important ritual amongst family, friends and business people, as the tossing action symbolises the unearthing of good fortune. 私のチームは果物で、 "Lo Hei" を作るです, 美味しい方ですよ。 [Our group came up with the idea of fruits "Lo Hei' instead of vegetables & raw fish.] 本当に特殊なんです、 皆一緒に作ったんです。 [It was indeed unique & delicious, everyone helped to make it for our competition. Ingredients of our "Lo Hei" ["Lo Hei"の材料は]were mainly fresh fruits namely Guava [グアバ]as Rabbit[兎], Carrots [人参]as base [花野], Japanese cucumber[黄瓜] as grass[花野], Strawberries[苺]as flowers on grass[花野], Pomegranate[石榴]as Rabbit eyes [兎の眼] and toppings, Granolas cranberries almond slice as grass bottom toppings, Pineapples[パイナップル], Pomelos[文旦], Grapes [葡萄], Mangos[芒果], Raisins, Mandarin oranges[オレンジ], cornflakes, Rock melons[メロン], Orange peels as side toppings & lastly my handmade Lemonade sugar syrup as sauce.
