Attended Dance & Musical concert @ Esplanade Theatre on 5 Jul, Saturday together with Ikumi San & Rie San & her colleague. Meet up with Rie San for dinner before the concert begin and we had dinner @ Makan Sutra Gluttons Bay right outside of Esplande on which we even managed to see some of the air show performance during national day parade rehearsal. While waiting for Rie San, I went to bought some lovely yummy cookie from "The Cookie Museum" which were intro by my ex.colleague, Sharon, oh those lovely yummy freshly bake cookies which are so tasty and if Lumpy Dom Dom is here with me, I'm sure she will love it too. Perhaps during your return to Singapore, I shall bring you to to try them, its real good!! The favors were so special and this round I bought the "Evening Rose & Almond flakes new favor", smell great & taste great!! I've managed to take some fotos of the air show & others and enclosed below:-

Thank Rie San for the invitation as she has a total of 4 complimentary tickets given to her, hence both Ikumi & myself were invited =) And the best of all was that we were seated @ VIP seats even in the front seats of the Guest of Honor, Dr.Vivian Balakrishnan [Minister for Community Development, Youth & Sports] , reason being Rie San who worked in Japan Embassy, tickets were given to her bosses who then last min unable to attend. I was so glad to be able to attend this concert, which was the very first concert I had attended at Esplanade. The inner view of the theatre was so beautiful and the concert was gorgeous but unfortunately no photography were allow in the theatre, hence no pictures were taken inside. I would say that I truely enjoy the whole performance showing the multi-nation dance and songs, it was indeed an fascinating & remarkable concert!
Even right after the concert, VIP attendees were invite for a drink such as beer,wine, cocktail & mocktails & foods were served at the lounge too. Great isn't?

Soundwaves 2008
Soundwaves 2008 (12 to 12) is an evocative blend of dance, drama, music and songs and is jointly created by Cultural Medallion recipient Dick Lee and PA's resident artistic producer Fan Dong Kai. The concert features the PA Talents Dance Ensemble, Singapore Pop Orchestra and the best of professional and community artistes in Singapore.

Dick Lee wrote :
"Soundwaves is not only a celebration of the exciting sounds Singapore's multiculturalism produces, but also of dance. This year's production features the dynamic dancers and choreographers of PA talents, as well as two of the brightest stars in the Singapore theatre scene; the multi-talented George Chan and new sensation Elena Tan. Musical support is provided by our very own Singapore Pop Orchestra, led by musical director Indra Ismail."

Summary :-
Bryan, a songwriter, arrives in Singapore after spending many years abroad. Having 24 hours in transit before his next flight, he takes a walk through the streets of Singapore and is overcome by nostalgia upon seeing the familiar yet comforting sights of his childhood. Along the way, Bryan stumbles into a dark alley where he is shocked to see Bella, a beautiful muse trapped by a powerful spell. She can only be freed when she regains - within 24 hours - three songs stolen from her. The drama begins when she enlists Bryan's help. Mystery, adventure and romance unfold as Bryan and Bella chase time, in search of the songs of Singapore.

Right after the concert after having a drink at the lounge, we took a bus to boat quay to look for Ikumi's husband and his friend who had came to Singapore for holiday for afew days. We were @ IndoChine satted down to chat for awhile and had a drink while I order my favourite coffee to enjoy with the yummy cookies I had bought @ The Cookie Museum. And later took some pictures with them and took the last train back home :-

Finally, had a lovely day after resting at home for the past few days as I was sick for awhile. But my poor dearie has no weekend for all these saturday due to weekly parade rehearsal although he did had fun during the rehearsal. Hang on there dear, it's soon to be over and you can have fun soon =)
